For all those who thought Ivanka Trump would have a positive influence on Donald Trump’s decisions, we may have some bad news. According to Politico, when Ivanka tried to convince her daddy not to endorse controversial U.S. Senate Candidate and alleged pedophile creeper Roy Moore (R-AL) Trump promptly made Moore his new BFF.
Throughout the first year of Trump’s administration, it’s been pretty standard to hear of the “Commander-in-Diapers” willfully ignoring his eldest daughter’s advice, instead throwing more red meat at his base. But Trump’s decision to endorse Moore eclipses any policy decision in which he and Ivanka may have been at odds. According to Authors Eliana Johnson and Alex Isenstadt, Trump bristled at the “pile-on” advice from Ivanka and others who told him to stay far away from the alleged child molesting Alabama judge.
To make matters worse, Ivanka’s words were used in Moore’s Democratic opponent’s campaign ad when she indirectly addressed allegation surrounding the Republican candidate by saying,”There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children.”
This pressure reportedly influenced Trump to scream “oh yeah? Watch this!” (figuratively) as he defiantly slammed his hand firmly on the political hot stove that is Roy Moore. From the Politico report:
“White House aides advised the president against getting involved in the contest, and his endorsement is a testament to the futility of trying to guide a boss guided by instinct who relishes taunting the political establishment he now runs. That includes not just [Senate Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell [R-KY] but members of his own staff and even his daughter Ivanka, whose harsh words for Moore worked only to push the president in the opposite direction.”
Well, Trump sure showed Ivanka who’s boss! Tell me not to endorse an alleged pedophile; I’ll show her! And boy, did he. Trump’s made personal appearances stumping in nearby Florida and has even recorded a robocallendorsing the alleged child molester. That’s right folks — Trump is proud to associate his reputation with a man who forces himself on little girls. And perhaps he sees a kindred spirit in Moore — after all Trump did mention once how he would have liked to date his daughter.
And lest we forget Trump’s 16 adult female sexual assault accusers: Trump’s endorsement of Moore could just as much be a middle finger to those women as it is to his own daughter.
