A former Department of Justice official, with inside knowledge of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, has just confirmed that both Donald Trump Jr. and President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner will be indicted for crimes related to the ever-growing Russia investigation.
Claude Taylor, the source, is a man of impeccable credentials. He has served in 3 presidential campaigns, and on the White House staff under President Clinton.
The news comes just weeks after Robert Mueller issued arrests for Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business associate Robert Gates.
At this time, it’s not known what exact charges both men will face, but its expected that it will be related to the meeting he accepted with a Kremlin-connected lawyer promising to share dirt on Hillary Clinton, stolen by the Russian government. Trump Jr. and Kushner both attended the meeting along with Manafort, and previously are on record lying about the exchange revealed through documented emailevidence.
As for Kushner, recently released files showed that a Russia-connected magnate invested millions of dollars into a tech startup run by him. The documents prove that two Russia state institutions with close ties to Vladimir Putin funded substantial investments in Twitter and Facebook with a business associate of Jared Kushner, which helped Trump win the election.
Howard Dean, the former head Democratic National Committee, thinks Kushner will be indicted, in part, for money laundering, at the very least.
“I expect there’s a good likelihood Jared Kushner will be indicted for money laundering, and then we’re going to see how far this Russian involvement goes,” Dean said in an interview on MSNBC.
