Trump’s America…Starbucks patron kicked out for harassing international student who was speaking Korean

An international student from Seoul says she was harassed by another customer at a Starbucks in California for speaking Korean.

Annie An shared details of the incident on social media, where she described the unpleasant encounter at a Walnut Creek location of the coffee chain.

This is the most unexpected and unbelievable day for me this entire 2017,” An wrote in her post. She described how the woman began complaining about her speaking Korean, saying things like: “This is America. Use English only,” “I don’t want to hear foreign language,” and “Your language is disgusting.”

What happened to me today (Dec 10, 2017). I was at a Starbucks in Walnut Creek, California. Old lady: This is America. Use English ONLY.Me: (?.?) Excuse me? Old lady: I don’t want to hear foreign language. Me: Hello, this is America. We all have freedom to use own language. Old lady: President Obama said ~(too long). Your language is DISGUSTING. Starbucks partners (employees) came to us and asked her to leave. —> This is when I started to take video. Some specific words she mentioned made me so mad. “Especially Korean”, “disgusting”, “be quiet and sit down”, “English only”, and “immigrants”❗️3 Police officers came in after few minutes.(Starbucks employees called police.) They let the lady out. This is the most unexpected and unbelievable day for me this entire 2017. And I even surprising that she didn’t stop complaining about my language even police officers were here. Thanks for the Starbucks employees tried to stop the situation and called the police for us. I wish non of immigrants and international students experience this SHITTY THING. 앞으로 모든 이민자와 국제 학생들이 절대 다시는 이런일을 겪지 않았으면 좋겠습니다.———EDIT❗️News has came out! Here is the link below.

In the video, a Starbucks employee is seen defending An, telling the woman An has the right to speak whatever language she wants and that if she has a problem with it, she can leave.

The woman continues to argue with the employee, saying that An can “sit and be quiet, fine, but I don’t want to hear your language.”

The woman then begins typing on her computer and says, “You’re going to be in trouble when I get this letter out.” Another Starbucks customer who appears to have gotten involved in the situation responds, saying “You’re pressing numbers over and over again.”

At this point, the Starbucks employee informs the woman that he would like her to leave the store. “OK, now I’m asking you to leave. If you don’t want to leave I’m going to call the police,” he says.

An wrote in her post that shortly after she stopped recording, three police officers arrived and the woman left.

“Thanks for the Starbucks employees tried to stop the situation and called the police for us,” An wrote. I wish [none] of immigrants and international students experience this s—- thing.”

A spokesperson for Starbucks told Fox News in a statement, “As the video shows, our partners [employees] take great pride in making sure our stores are welcoming environments, where our customers enjoy a culture of warmth, belonging and everyone is welcome. We want everyone who visits our stores to enjoy their visit.”
